Old Hickory Limited Warranty

12-Month Limited Warranty on Furniture

Old Hickory ("we," "us," or "our") warrants each piece of custom furniture we build to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the original date of delivery to the original purchaser.

What This Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms below, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, any part of your custom furniture that fails due to a defect in materials or craftsmanship under normal residential use, including:
  • Structural failures of the frame, joinery, or base construction
  • Defects in wood, hardware, or finish materials supplied by us
  • Workmanship errors in construction, assembly, or finishing


What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover damage or conditions resulting from:
  • Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches, dents, or fading of finishes and fabrics over time
  • Natural variations in wood grain, color, texture, or characteristics inherent to solid wood and other natural materials - these are features of custom, handcrafted furniture, not defects
  • Improper use, accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence
  • Exposure to extreme temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, or outdoor conditions unless the piece was specifically built for outdoor use
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning products, methods, or maintenance
  • Modifications, alterations, or repairs made by anyone other than Oldhickory
  • Commercial, rental, or non-residential use, unless otherwise agreed in writing at time of order
  • Normal settling, minor gaps, or movement in wood joinery due to seasonal humidity changes
  • Damage occurring during a move or delivery not performed by Oldhickory


Custom Order Notice

Because each piece is custom-built to your specifications, slight variations from any sample, rendering, or showroom model in color, grain, or texture are expected and are not considered defects.

How to Make a Claim

To submit a warranty claim, contact us within the 12-month warranty period at [phone/email] with:
  • Your original order number or proof of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos showing the defect


We will evaluate your claim and determine whether repair or replacement is appropriate. If a repair or replacement is approved, the remaining balance of the original 12-month warranty period will continue to apply - it does not restart.

Limitation of Remedies

Repair or replacement, at our discretion, is the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Old Hickory is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, arising from any defect. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
